The 2004 Alaska Fiber Festival

The first Alaska Fiber Festival was a huge success! Our workshop teachers were incredible—Joan worked the dyers to death; Jan and Jean created magic with thread; and Lorraine’s class designed wonderful works of art!

We had quilters and textile artists come from all over:

  • Alaska: Valdez, Bethel, Soldotna, Kenai, Ninilchik, Fairbanks, Wasilla, Palmer

  • Yukon: Skagway, Dawson City and Whitehorse

  • Seattle, Washington

  • Vancouver Island

  • South Carolina

  • And Australia!
